These energy balls are filled with all the most amazing super foods in the world – almonds, walnuts, hemp protein, flaxseed, chia seeds, coconut oil, raw cacao and medjool dates. They really are little bites of perfect health. Although of course they are unbelievably delicious too! The most awesome thing about all of these ingredients is that they’re almost all totally packed with all kinds of awesome plant proteins, hemp protein being the richest sources of plant protein available, which means they give you lots of energy and keep you going all day long. They make an amazing afternoon pick-me-up too, way better than any chocolate bar. Make some this Sunday evening to keep in your fridge all week, that way when you get those after dinner cravings you are prepared and it won’t upset your healthy eating!
The fun thing about these though is that they really are just as delicious as any chocolate bar. As Yvonne mentioned, the raw cacao will satisfy your chocolate cravings, while also giving you one of the best, richest sources of antioxidants, even better than berries! This subtle chocolate combines so perfectly with the nutty almonds and walnuts, the creamy coconut and the caramel tasting dates to create such an amazingly wide range of flavours that will just melt-in-your-mouth! As you all know from our tastings today.
